Descriptions : Turkish Bir "boz ardıç" (Juniperus excelsa) ağacının genel görünümü. Boz ardıçlar (Juniperus excelsa) gençken iri çalı formunda iken geliştikçe ağaç formuna kavuşurlar. Ağaçları 6-20 m (ve bazen 25 m) kadar boylanmakta ve gövde çapları 2 m'ye kadar gelişebilmekte olduğundan "boylu ardıç" veya "yüksek ardıç" olarak da bilinmektedirler. Ağaç tacı geniş yapıda konik, yuvarlak şekilli veya düzensiz görünümlü olabilmektedir. İki çeşit yaprak formu söz konusudur. Fidan ve sürgünlerde iğne uçlu 8-10 mm uzunluğunda genç yapraklar varken daha yaşlı ağaçlarda 0.6-3 mm uzunlukta iğnesiz yaşlı yapraklar bulunur.
English An overall appearance of a "grizzly juniper" (Juniperus excelsa) tree. While grizzly juniper seem like a big bush when they are young, they are evolved form of tree (Juniperus excelsa),. They are also known as "tall juniper" or "high juniper" because the trees can grow up to 6-20 m in length (and sometimes 25 m) and 2 meters in diameter. The crown of the tree can be a large conical, round or irregular in shape. There are two types of leaf form. While there are 8-10 mm long young leaves on shoots and seedlings, There are broad and old leaves in 0.6-3 mm long on the older trees.
